《贝壳》The Seashell

《贝壳》The seashell

海浪是海
对大地
永不停歇的呼唤
而山是大地
对海
在沉默中永恒的思念
我在海与
大地之间的沙滩上
静静的躺着
在没有誓言
的等待中
听着风和我诉说着
你们的故事

The waves
are the eternal call
of the sea to the earth
and the mountains
are the eternal love in silence
of the earth for the sea
in between them
I lie quietly
in the waiting
without a promise
I listen to your stories
as told by the wind

  1. Very nice

    • Finally I have found something to write about the seashell. Isn’t that a lot of people have a special feeling towards seashell, especially for those who live next to the sea =).

      Thanks!

    • Dear Chris

Thanks for your kind words. I do not know why I can’t think of anything to write, and that my heart suddenly stop to calm down, or was it too calm after my mother passed away two weeks ago. I try to think hard for something to write, but I know it stops to sing like before.

I hope to start to read blogs again soon, and to write more.

      Thank you.

      • Dear KC,
I thought, or perhaps was afraid that your mother had passed away and that was the reason for your silence. I am sorry for your loss. The amount of love expressed in your writing makes me think that she will have felt a deep peace as she flowed into a new place. You are a good son.
Let your heart rest. There is always time to write. I remember the emptiness after my father died. It was not possible for me to write. Embrace your sadness and loss. The rest will come.

        Warm regards,
        Chris

  4. As I read this poem, I was carried into the life of a seashell…half buried in the sand…looking out to the sea..feeling the warmth of the sand…feeling the gentle breeze blowing over..looking up to the blue sky…its a beautiful image I see…

    you wrote beautifully KC…🙂

    ~ a bunch of love

    • My style of writing is influenced by R. Tagore, and some Chinese poets who lived 1000 years ago, but I have some differences in the way in expressing the feeling, and in the painting of the image, sound, taste of the poem. Of course I cannot compared to Tagore, he is the master.

Also, only I start to have deep spiritual conversation with my heart that I can write in this way, and often with tears in my eye, or with a smile in my heart. Just my inner feeling, it took me a lot of life experiences to see the hidden beauty of the World, essentially this is about finding one’s soul by taking a journey into our heart.

For the seashell, sitting between the sea and the Earth and the Ocean, to witness the greatest love, and become part of it to make it more beautiful.

I hope that I have explained well my thought.
